​MERJE are partnered with a leading Building Society in their search for a talented Interim Manager to join their Asset & Liability Management team.

This position is offered on an initial 12 month FTC with potential to extend.

The role:

You will be responsible for the ongoing management and reporting of the liquidity and market risk positions used across the Society, providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge in the management and running of the liquidity and market risk models and processes. Both day to day and through longer term planning and forecasting.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Support the delivery of internal management information, regulatory returns (including ILAAP) and supporting the risk management strategies.

• Stakeholder management to ensure appropriate knowledge and understanding of the liquidity and market risk reports and metrics.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Excellent knowledge and experience of asset & liability or balance sheet management.

• Good knowledge of Treasury risk management practices and principles.

• Good knowledge and experience of regulatory reporting requirements.

• Great problem solving skills.

• Proficiency with various MS Office programmes (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Strong stakeholder and engagement skills.

• Good communication skills, both verbally and written.

• Experience leading and developing others, even if not in a direct line management role.
